The Memoirs of Grace Coddington

The Memoirs of Grace Coddington

IMG_8040I have another Coffee Table Book for you that you should read or at least buy. Grace A Memoir is about Grace Coddington, I would say she is the most influential and talented creative director out there. She works at the US Vogue right beside Anna Wintour. She is as important to the magazine as the Editor in chief and she contributed to many fashion editorials for the last decades. Her book shared stories about that specific time at Vogue. It is very interesting to read and gives you an insight how working in the fashion business can be tough but sometimes rewarding.

I am sure that most of you did not about her before “the september issue” documentary about how Vogue’s biggest and most important issue comes together. Grace works behind the curtain but that’s where the strings are tied. She also tells us her story about her model career when she shooted with world class fashion photographers like David Bailey and Norman Parkinson. As well as here fashion career afterwards how she started out at UK Vogue and how she got to work with Anna Wintour. Her personal live is also a big part of the book such as the car accident which caused her to quit modelling. Grace A Memoir is definitely a book I would recommend reading. The fashion insights and stories have inspired me. And if you don’t read it, just place it next to flowers on a tray and you’ll have a lovely interior decor piece.
