Cape – ing in Kensington

DSC_0105Yes it is Cape-ing not Camping. Fall is finally good for something – I get to wear my new cape which I am so proud of. It is handmade just for me and the design still blows my mind. When I visited the Pure London earlier this year I met a Turkish / Finnish fashion designer named Alara Sagesen from Istanbul. I loved her knits especially her details and how she made knits so special and unique. I totally fell in love with this cape and the colour – I can’t say no to grey. I ordered it straight away and 8 weeks later it arrived on my doorstep. I couldn’t wear it yet because it was too warm but finally I wore it for the first time and got so many positive responses. I entered a shop in Kensington and the shop assistant instantly asked me if she could take a photo. She was so blown away by the details and fell in love with my cape. Another lady complemented me while I was grocery shopping and said that she had never seen such a unique cape and that she would buy it as well. And finally a man came to me and said how he liked the details on this cape, where this is from and that her wife would also like to have a cape like that. I don’t make this up – it really happened. Three people in just two hours of wearing this wonderful cape. And I am sure that these complements won’t be the last. It is even more beautiful now when I can style it properly and can team it up with my cute Chanel bag, my denim Kitty Flats and a warm Cashmere beanie.

You wonder why I don’t wear boots with this winter look – well I am still not ready to get the boots out. I love to be cosy and warm but I still want to wear my cute flats. Fashion is a tricky one. I hope you like the look and I would be interested if you like the cape as much as we do?
